The Morelia Miguel Bernal Jiménez Music Festival was created in July 1989 with the aim of promoting and expanding musical education based on the project of the illustrious Michoacan composer Miguel Bernal Jiménez. Over the course of 35 years, it has managed to present the greatest exponents of concert music from around the world.
Coming back to my hometown Panevėžys to perform in a Music Theater which is celebrating it’s 30th anniversary.
This summer, the piano recital series at M. K. Čiurlionis Memorial Museum will take place for the 59th time. This unique festival takes the audience back in time when the great Čiurlionis was playing in his living room whilst his fans would enjoy the music resting in his garden. This unusual setting enables to appreciate relation between nature and music also providing a glimpse to an authentic moment of a great composers life.

Leathersellers' Hall, situated in the heart of the City of London, stands as a testament to the rich history and enduring legacy of the Worshipful Company of Leathersellers, one of the ancient livery companies of London. This historic venue exudes elegance and sophistication, making it a coveted setting for musical performances.
Music at St Peter’s, a registered charity founded in 1999, was established under the aegis of St Peter’s Methodist Church Canterbury (www.canterburymethodistchurch.co.uk) as part of its outreach to the community, to promote an annual series of chamber music recitals of the highest quality within its available resources at a price which kept the series within the reach of most people. In doing this, it was hoped to bring together chamber music-lovers in a friendly environment and exploit the excellent acoustic and comfortable seating of the fine Georgian church and its central location within the city of Canterbury.

Festival Internacional Cervantino is the largest cultural festival in Latin America. The Festival Internacional Cervantino originated in 1972 with the intention of celebrating the rich literary legacy of Cervantes and his timeless masterpiece, Don Quixote. Over the years, it has evolved into a diverse and multidisciplinary festival that showcases a wide range of artistic expressions, including music, theater, dance, opera, visual arts, and literature.
Together with orchestra Esperanza Azteca conducted by maestro Julio Saldaña will pe performing Sergei Rachmaninov’s second piano concerto.
The Manchester Mid-day Concerts Society is over 100 years old, and was established in 1915 by the Committee for Music in Wartime as a way of engaging musicians whose livelihoods had suffered during war-time conditions. The Society aimed to boost morale in local military hospitals by using them as concert venues “for the convenience of business people, soldiers and visitors to the city.” The first concert took place on the 9th November 1915 at Houldsworth Hall (now Church House, 90 Deansgate).
The concerts proved so successful that they continued after the war and in 1922 the Tuesday Mid-day Concerts Society was founded. From this date concerts were programmed in order to “provide music of a very high standard at a low admission price to enable any music lover to attend” and to “foster the best young musicians” by providing a performance platform, an audience and marketing exposure.

Chopin’s sparkling Andante Spianato and Grande Polonaise Brillante is the grand opener to this recital by the Lithuanian pianist Rokas Valuntonis. The programme includes miniatures by fellow countryman Balys Dvarionas which owes much of their musical language to Chopin. Horowitz’s arrangement of Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody makes a show-stopping finale.

The farewell to the Old year with Schubert’s subtle Forellenquintett has become a tradition of the Vilnius String Quartet and its colleagues. On the very last evening of 2020, the Quartet performs it in Vilna Gaon State Jewish Museum with a double bassist Rokas Stunžėnas and pianist Rokas Valuntonis, a winner of over 20 international competitions.
Next to Forellenquintett, the Vilnius String Quartet will perform Mozart’s charming String quartet No. 14 in G major. Mozart wrote this opus, invoking New Year tenor, in 1782 after settling in Vienna – in the manuscript he inscribed the date of the completion “31 December, 1782”. Eventually, the subtitle Spring was attributed to the quartet. However, it is the first of a series of six quartets dedicated to his friend Joseph Haydn.

Barnes Music Society aims to foster an appreciation of music by promoting first-class concerts and encouraging other musical activities, especially involving young musicians.
The Society in is current form was created through a merger in 1985 of Castelnau Concerts with the Barnes Music Club, although its roots go back over more than 50 years.

Music on the Green is delighted to present its first live lunchtime concert since lockdown, a piano recital by Rokas Valuntonis. Praised for his striking virtuosity and liquidity of sound, Rokas will perform a programme of Chopin, Schumann, Mozart and CPE Bach.
